Clothing as a Canvas
Megan Lagueruela is the fiber artist and designer of Megan-Ilene, a studio dedicated to the intersection of traditional craft and modern, circular design. Each piece begins with a commitment to the lifecycle of a garment, ensuring that your clothes are not in conflict with your ethics.
Handcrafted Intention
We focus on a holistic approach to clothing design, cultivating textiles that tell a story. Using hand powered weaving looms, hand-block printing and low impact dyes, we can transform organic cotton, regenerative silk and linen into fluid, wearable art. Each collection is a study in beautiful practicality. Timeless silhouettes designed to be lived in, to tell a story and eventually, return to the earth.
From working with artisan, family-owned companies worldwide to our made-to-order studio in North Carolina, we prioritize fair partnerships and ethical labor.
Quality over Quantity is our standard.
Our customers are people who value both style and substance, Those who seek high-quality, unique pieces that reflect their values and individuality.

Our Promise
Material Integrity: Every textile is biodegradable, frequently organic and chosen for its ability to return safely to the soil.
Artisanal Dyeing: We use natural or low-impact synthetic dyes with low-immersion techniques, protecting our water systems while creating a rich, hand-painted depth.
Zero-Waste Circularity: Through zero-waste pattern cutting and revitalization of studio scraps, we maintain a closed-loop system where nothing is discarded.
Intentional Fit: Our silhouettes are designed for an effortless drape, offering inclusive sizing (XS-3X) and complimentary custom adjustments to honor all shapes.
Made in North Carolina: Every garment is produced in-house, locally, by entities receiving a fair, livable wage.
We aim to change the way you wear the world
By producing and consuming mindfully, we focus on craftsmanship over consumption. Creating items that can be worn a myriad of ways and utilizing materials that are ultimately safe for Earth's reclamation.
