These fabrics are handmade, and handmade items, by nature, have imperfections. Instead of culling these flaws, we have chosen to highlight them. The reason is twofold: to prevent avoidable waste and as a reminder that this piece is one-of-a-kind.

These sweats are cut and sewn in batches and are ready to ship.

Shipping/Returns

All Domestic orders are shipped, free of charge, USPS Priority Mail/UPS. Packages usually deliver within 2-3 business days. A tracking number will be emailed once the order is shipped. If you require more security/services, contact us before purchasing for additional features such as signature or next day delivery.

International orders are shipped via First Class Mail International and priced by weight. Contact us with any special delivery requests or to arrange an alternative shipping solution. Megan-Ilene is not responsible for payment of any duty or import fees.

Megan-Ilene is not responsible for unexpected shipping delays caused by circumstances such as severe weather, natural disasters, or other courier delays.  We are also not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in transit.

Returns are happily accepted on unworn, unused garments, with their original tags and/or packaging postmarked up to 7 days after original delivery. Your compostable mailer can be re-used to return said items! Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. Please email hello@megan-ilene.com for Return Authorization and shipping details. After 7 days, exchanges are possible with Megan-Ilene approval. We have the right to deny a refund if the merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements.

All purchases from our SALE page are final. Also, any items ordered during a sale are also Final Sale. This includes items purchased through our Newsletter or Instagram account.

Lead Times

Megan-Ilene maintains a small stock of listed items to stay within a sustainable mindset. Lead times are generally 1-2 weeks unless otherwise stated. If the item is Ready to Ship, dispatch will occur in less than 5 days. Communication is always welcome to confirm your personal ship date!

Made to Order vs Ready to Ship

Megan-Ilene is predominantly a Made-to-Order company where an item does not exist until an order has been placed. This model is utilized for several reasons. We’re a small company and value the labor and energy put into making each garment. Because many pieces are like works of art (individually printed, painted, or dyed) we work small and slow to make each piece. Most clothing brands produce large numbers of each style and then sell through the season.  We work in the opposite way and make most of our garments once they’re ordered. It eliminates waste and unnecessary expense and allows us to pivot in the case a certain style is proving to be more popular. We hope our customers understand the care that we take to make each piece and we promise they’re worth the wait!

Care Instructions

We totally get the importance of convenience. But we also try to keep longevity and sustainability at the forefront of every design. Several Megan-Ilene items are proudly wash and wear. We also pre-wash many items before shipping. With that in mind we ask for a few caveats to ensure you enjoy your pieces for as many wears as possible. This information is located on each item’s page. 

Side Note: Always a good idea, get a laundry bag! So easy to treat certain things gently while in your washing machine.
