A modern, dramatic reimagining of the poncho, transformed into a high-volume silhouette that celebrates the physics of fabric. Finished to a sweeping half-circle that falls to mid-calf, the dress captures the same "undulating volume" found in our Bellows Skirt, but carried from the shoulder down.
Crafted in this season's modal-nylon blend, the dress possesses a cool, fluid hand-feel and a subtle luster. The weight of the fabric allows the oversized shape to collapse and expand gracefully, creating a rhythmic movement that is entirely organic to the wearer’s pace.
While the Bellows Skirt features a "window" panel of dry-brushed organza, the Sweep Dress brings the hand to the forefront. Contrasting cream paint is applied using a meticulous dry-brush technique, feathered by hand across every horizontal seam and gather. This painterly treatment follows the three-tiered construction, highlighting the joinery and creating a textured patina that catches the light with every step.
Key Feature include:
-
Three distinct gathered tiers add structural depth, culminating in a final row of 100% crinkled cotton gauze for a soft, tactile finish at the hem.
-
The neckline is cleanly finished with bias tape, leading to an elegant keyhole opening and tie-fastening at the center back.
-
Because the paint strokes are applied manually across the gathers, no two dresses are identical; each piece is a unique record of the dry-brush process.
